Space. Freedom. Movement.

Through movement, free dance and somatic practices, we explore connection with ourselves, inner balance and a sense of freedom.

A space where you can reconnect, through your body, with your inner grounding, clarity and a living connection to what is truly yours.

A space to explore yourself through dance and movement.

My breath deepened. As if I were connected to life again.

I’ve never felt so close to my body

Sometimes you simply want to… breathe differently. To pause. Not through thinking, but through the body.

To feel your feet, the space around you, a wave through your spine.
To meet yourself — just as you are right now.

At Prostor svobode sessions, movement and dance open the way to reconnect with yourself.
You become more present in your body. The mind grows quieter.
With every movement and every moment in the group, your sense of inner grounding, balance and clarity grows stronger.

Sometimes you arrive tired and scattered — and leave feeling more at home in your own skin. Happier and calmer.
With a body that trusts you again, and a sense that something inside has fallen into place.

This is not an exercise. It is a process. And it begins with a single movement.

We begin with a warm-up and slowly settle into the space. This is time to awaken the body, notice the space around you and tune in to yourself.

After the warm-up, we gather in a circle. There is time to connect with others and notice what we bring with us today, what feels alive in us. Together we look at the focus of the session and the basic principles of the space: respect, safety, and freedom of movement and expression.

Then we move into exploration through movement and presence — sometimes individually, sometimes in pairs or as a group. We use Authentic Movement, somatic approaches, dance improvisation and contact improvisation. The starting point is not form, but experience: how you experience movement, what it awakens in the body, and how it affects your feelings, relationships and awareness.

After each sequence, we take a moment to integrate the experience. Sometimes in silence, sometimes through a brief sharing or conversation. This is never required, but it can help you recognise feelings, become more aware of what you have experienced and connect it with a broader inner process.

At the end, we gather again in a closing circle. Without pressure — sometimes we simply sit together, sometimes someone shares a thought or a feeling. We notice what has shifted inside us. What feels different now than it did at the beginning? And from there, each of us carries what is present into the rest of the evening.

this was exactly what I needed.

How a session unfolds

About me

I’ve been connected to dance since childhood. First through ballroom, ballet and folk dance — and even earlier through my grandmother, who played the balalaika for me, sewed colourful skirts, and recognised early on something in me that came completely naturally. That open, genuine aliveness showed itself most clearly in movement and dance. In loose hair, a swirling skirt and the sheer physical joy of a child, she saw something real — and knew how to give it space, acceptance and freedom to express itself.

Later, life took many different turns. There were many moves, interruptions and periods when dance was more dormant than alive in me. But movement kept finding its way back into my life. Not as technique or form, but as a way of coming closer to myself.

As a teenager, I began to notice how deeply the body and our inner state are connected. How the things we do not say still show up in our posture, our breathing and the way we move.

Since 2010, I have trained through a range of courses, programmes and research labs with teachers and mentors from the US, Europe and Moscow, in Authentic Movement, somatic approaches, contact improvisation, improvisation in therapy, shadow work, aikido, performative research, and work with families, children and people with special needs.

But what has always interested me most is the moment when movement becomes more than just movement. When the body becomes a way of coming closer to yourself. When something releases, shifts and comes alive again.

Prostor svobode gradually grew out of this exploration — a space where it does not matter how “correctly” you move, but whether movement helps you come closer to yourself, to aliveness, clarity and freedom.
